About Pack 226
Founded on the wisdom of Proverbs 22:6, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it”, Pack 226’s purpose is to help parents train and equip their sons and daughters, through the Scouting program, to be capable Christian leaders, husbands, fathers, wives, mothers, and citizens. This training is built upon the foundation of the Bible and the Scout Oath and Law.
On my honor, I will do my best
To do my duty to God and my country
and to obey the Scout Law;
To help other people at all times;
To keep myself physically strong,
mentally awake, and morally straight.
A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.
Pack 226 is committed to support parents in training up their sons and daughters in the way they should go. It is our intent to help each young man and young women under our care to become a responsible husband, father, wife, mother, and citizen who is guided by the Bible and the Scout Oath and Law.
Pack 226 is dedicated to a biblical worldview, serving as an instrument to guide young men and young women to honor God, make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes, and experience outdoor adventure. We will deliver a quality Scouting program that honors God and equips young men and young women to be prepared to live out the Scout Oath and Law.
Pack 226 was chartered by Yorktown Christian Academy in September 2010 as an extracurricular activity and ministry to families in the community. Pack 226 operates as a part of the Outdoor Adventure Program at Yorktown Christian Academy, along with BSA Troop 226 for boys and BSA Troop 356 for girls. All registered leaders in these programs must be in agreement with the school's Statement of Faith.
